Brady material
"Brady material" is exculpatory information, material to a defendant's guilt or punishment, which government knew about but failed to disclose to defendant in time for trial. Defendant is denied due process if Government suppresses such material. U.S. v. Endicott, C.A.Wash., 803 F.2d 506, 514. Name is derived from Brady v. U.S., 373 U.S. 83, 83 S.Ct. 1194, 10 L.Ed.2d 215.
